Charaloom Privacy Policy
Charaloom processes information only as needed to operate the service. This policy explains those processing standards.
1. Information We Process
- Firebase authentication data (login identifier and auth status)
- Profile data (name, bio, profile image, and other user-provided fields)
- Service usage data (created characters and chat content)
- Session cookie data required for authentication (firebase-session)
2. Purpose of Processing
- User authentication and account management
- Providing core features such as character creation, discovery, and chat
- Service stability, error handling, and abuse prevention
- Performance and usage analysis for product improvement
3. Third-Party Processors (Infrastructure/Tools)
- Firebase: authentication, database, and storage
- OpenAI API: generation of chat responses
- Vercel Analytics: traffic and usage analytics
4. Retention and Deletion
- Information is retained only as long as needed for service operation.
- When account deletion is requested, the current implementation deletes both the user document (Firestore) and authentication account (Firebase Auth).
5. User Rights
- Users can update profile information.
- Users can request account deletion through the account deletion flow.
- Additional inquiry channels are being prepared and will be announced on the board page.
